Dear Colleagues,

The Local Organising Committee is very pleased to invite you to the 74th Congress of the Italian Society of Physiology that will be held in Rome on September 11-13, 2024.

The congress venue is Centro Congressi Antonianum that is located in the city center (Viale Manzoni 1) and can be easily reached from the Central Railway Station (Stazione Termini) as well as from underground line A.

The scientific programme will encompass exciting up-to-date plenary lectures, symposia and workshops. Outstanding experts and emerging young physiologists will bring into focus the multifaced aspects of research from classical to translational physiology.

Poster sessions will be an integral part of the meeting and we warmly encourage poster presentations from PhD students and young scientists as first authors.

There is no need to comment on how enjoyable may be visiting Rome in September, when the excellent climate allows combining scientific work with exploring a unique open-air museum.

The social program will also offer opportunities to bridge science and art.
